Why are stubborn Beliefs so rigid? Redefining our Capacity to Think

When you think from the point of awareness, there is a wider breadth of flexibility. We are given room to explore. However, from the point of ignorance, we do not realize that we don’t know much.

It’s scary if you see the truth for what it is, and that is, that the truth has many faces. For instance, a disease can be treated with allopathy but can also be combined with homeopathy, ayurveda, naturopathy, and so on, to improve the quality of treatment.

One can take antidepressants as a temporary relief and solution but talking about one’s deep mental struggles, and getting a psych evaluation and treatment can also be a journey in itself. However, some people want to stop at the pills that give them that magical feeling. It drives away the pain, so let’s just use the easy way.

But here is the thing about following a certain path and not looking any other way, we limit ourselves.

Limitations: Two Sides of a Coin

Limitations have different meanings. For instance, a certain forest is limited by the boundaries of the cliffs that surround it. So, the forest officer puts up signs that say, High Cliffs, Danger, Stay Off Limits.

Another meaning of limitations is attributed to the way we think. For instance, we know that jumping out of a plane in mid-air is life-threatening. At the same time, we find it to be an exhilarating experience when jumping out with the necessary protective gear and parachute.

Where there are limiting beliefs, there is stubbornness. The refusal to see something any other way.

Where there is awareness, those chained beliefs are broken and a person feels free to explore other possibilities.

This is where the Spiritual Quotient comes into the mix. No matter what journey you are on, self-exploration plays a huge role in gaining awareness. In this journey, you will find a way to improve your spiritual health. For many people, it has not been easy to face themselves, let alone their stubborn beliefs. In the fear of finding themselves, they are afraid of what they might come across and yet they know that going through life without this realization is unfair to them.

Ground of Neutrality versus Stubborn Beliefs

Are you bound to see yourself in the same light for the rest of your life? When you were a child, you may have loved to play in the dirt but as you grew up, you wore socks under your shoes so that even the dust in the air cannot harm your feet.

“Change is a necessary struggle of life but the way we face it does not have to be as unpleasant as we expect.” ~Krescon Coaches

Therefore, when one improves their spiritual quotient, one is on the path to gaining their Ground of Neutrality. When one gains their Ground of Neutrality, they can see things not from the perspective of negative or positive emotions but from the angle of exploration. When you are positive about the outcome, you are setting yourself up for disappointment because the outcome may not be as you expected. However, when you go in with a neutral mind, you are opening yourself up to the unexpected. This makes it easier for you to embrace whatever is coming your way, be it the truth or a physical change in life.

So, allow your Ground of Neutrality to deal with the stubborn beliefs of your life. Identify what kind of beliefs are stopping you from thinking ahead and address them with a high Spiritual Quotient.
